Welcome back to the Disney Exploration Log. Today, we will look into my favorite Quick Service Restaurants in each of the Disney areas, including Disney Springs.
The Polite Pig - Disney Springs
A barbecue spot located in Town Center near the Lime garage. Their focus in on putting on a twist on local favorites. They sell everything from snacks, sandwiches, salads, and vegetable sides, as well as chicken, fish and pork. They also have drinks on tap. If you have pickier eaters with you, they also have chicken fingers and mac & cheese.
You can get a butcher board for 2 that has a little bit of all the meats. They also have amazing sides that you should not miss out on like Crispy Brussel Sprouts and a tomato and watermelon salad.
The meat is juicy and the sides compliment whatever meat you choose.
Satu'li Canteen - Animal Kingdom
You can find this Quick Service restaurants in the Pandora - The World of Avatar section of Animal Kingdom. The food is meant to resemble alien food, but you will still find much loved flavors in this restaurant.
This is where you can find Cheeseburger pods, bao buns with cheeseburger ingredients inside. They taste exactly like a cheeseburger but inside the dough instead of having a bun. They also sell a lot of bowls, where you choose your own base and sauce and then choose what you want on top of it.
When I went I got the Ocean Moon Bowl which was the first meal that I really enjoyed and started me on my journey with loving salad. There are a lot of different colors and tastes, including blue noodles. I highly recommend it.
They also have a long an extensive allergy friendly menu.
Sunshine Seasons - EPCOT
A food court found in The Land pavilion, right next to Living With the Land. They have a breakfast, lunch and dinner menu. Not only do they make food here but if you're in a hurry you can also purchase grab-and-go food, which makes things easier for busy families.
They sell all sorts of entrees including fish, beef, chicken, pizza, sandwiches. The variety at this Quick Service Restaurant is great, you can find nearly anything that anyone would want, including picky eaters.
Something interesting about Sunshine Seasons is that it uses produce from the Living With the Land Greenhouses to make some of their foods with.
Aloha Isle - Magic Kingdom
Some Quick Service restaurants have a variety of different options and sometimes they have few options but their options are some of the best treats in the park. Aloha Isle is one of the latter. This is where you can get the well-known Pineapple Dole Whip, a frozen treat made from Dole Pineapple. Best part is that it is dairy free!
You can also get a coconut cup or coconut/pineapple dole whip swirl. They make floats out of the Dole whip as well. Dole Whip is very refreshing and can help you cool down on a hot day. If you want something that is iconic to Magic Kingdom, get a Dole Whip.
Ronto Roasters - Disney's Hollywood Studios
Disney's space food is just really good. Ronto Roasters has a really unique ambience, with a droid turning Ronto meat on spit over heated by a jet engine, you can watch this droid hard at work as you eat your meal.
They have a breakfast menu with breakfast wraps which makes the wrap more breakfast friendly, with eggs included. They also have a lunch/dinner menu with the regular Ronto wrap. I know we want Rontos to be real but the meat used in the wrap is actually a whole bunch of pork. The wrap is made out of pita bread and included tangy slaw and a peppercorn sauce, all of the ingredients together make for a delicious meal.
They also sell pork rinds and vegetarian wraps for those that don't eat meat.
I hope you enjoyed these reviews and get a chance to try out these Quick Service Restaurants on your next visit to Disney World.
