There are a lot of Resorts at Disney World and depending on how much time you plan to spend at yours and how much you are willing to spend will determine which one might be right for you. Today we I will be talking about the value resorts.
There are technically 4 tiers of Resorts. Here are the tiers from least to most expensive.
Value Resorts
Moderate Resorts
Deluxe Resorts
Deluxe Villas
Value Resorts
Value Resorts are the least expensive Disney owned resorts. They are motel style with the hallways being outside, and they have giant themed statues. They have basic pools and food courts for their food offerings. Each Resort also offers activities, movies under the stars, and arcades.
The least expensive of the value resorts are the All Star Resorts, All Star Music, Movies and Sports. Each has their own themed food court and statues based on their theme. All Star Movies has giant character statues including Buzz Light Year, Woody, Pongo and the Mighty Ducks. All Star Music has giant statues of music inspired icons. All Star Sports has giant statues of sports related things. These resorts are bus only to the parks. Depending on crowd level the resorts my share one buses for all 3 resorts or have separate buses. Each of these resorts has 2-3 pools.
Next, is Pop Century. There are themed areas from the 1950s to the 1990s. The staircases leading up the sides of the buildings are also themed, with things like rubric's cubes and bowling pins depending on the year. They also have giant themed statues based on the decade. Such as the 1990s having a computer in front of the building. You can take the Skyliner to Disney's Hollywood Studios and EPCOT, buses to Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom. There is only one bus station for the whole resort. The resort has 3 pools, The Hippy Dippy pool being the largest and loudest and having the most activities.
Finally, there is Art of Animation. It is the most expensive of the Value Resorts. It sits on the other side of the Skyliner from Pop Century. Art of Animation was supposed to be an addition to Pop Century so the way it is laid out is almost exactly the same. This resort has multiple sections based on different Disney movies, and most sections are made up of family suites. The sections are Finding Nemo, Cars, The Lion King and The Little Mermaid. Like Pop Century it has access to the Skyliner and buses. Art of Animation has 3 pools, The Big Blue Pool being the largest Resort Pool in Disney World.
