Today I want to discuss the Nighttime Spectaculars in Disney World. Each park has one except Animal Kingdom because it isn't open late enough. I think each Nighttime spectacular is worth watching at least once.
Magic Kingdom
Happily Ever After - Nighttime Fireworks and Castle Show
Happily Ever After is an 18 minute Nighttime show that includes projections and effects on and around the castle, as well as fireworks. All of these effects are put together with a musical score. The projections are of scenes and characters from Disney movies we all know and love. This is a beautiful multi-media show and I will go see it whenever I am in Magic Kingdom until closing.
EPCOT
Luminous - The Symphony of Us - Nighttime show on the water
Another Multi-media show that includes fireworks and other special effects. This one takes place on World Showcase Lagoon in the water in the center of all of the World Showcase countries. This show incorporates fountains of water that have projection on them, as well as fireworks and a musical score. You can see it from all around World Showcase, and if you happen to leave the park before its over, you can watch it from the Skyliner.
Hollywood Studios
Fantasmic! - Nighttime show in a stadium
Not going to lie, Fantasmic! is my favorite show on property. It is a full experience, rather than just effects and fireworks. There are characters in costume running around a stage, floats and boats flowing on the "river" around the stage, there are fountains and fireworks, it is a full-on production. I don't want to give away the plot, since this one has a plot, but there are well-known heroes and villians in the story, and it is absolutely beautiful and brings a tear to my every time.
